Customer Feedback

This page was opened to help those K brick riders who have an ABS brain error and
have found this site but cannot be sure whether Milky way Technology
can be trusted with the repair or not.

I asked my customers if they would write down their true impression of the
service and then send it to me.

The following is what my customers said after they had installed their
repaired ABS brain and it is exactly as they wrote, their responses are
completely unedited.

Customer.Mr. H from Netherland who owns K75. He appears with his K75 ABS testing on German Tech section of Flyingbrick.de.
RECOMMENDATION

In 2012 I retrofitted my 1991 BMW K75 with ABS, which worked without any problems for 2 years. Then a month ago I got an error code 1 + 2 simultaneously and found out that nobody was able to explain me what this combined code meant.
Well, taking it literally, it would mean replacing both modulators, which was not a pleasing perspective. Browsing on the internet, I found Tosi Tabu's excellent website, however, even here no information on the simultaneous code 1 + 2. I decided to contact him directly. He immediately knew this code could exist and helped me doing some tests (designed by him) with the modulators. Although the modulators were not completely within his specs, he advised me to send the ECU.
Directly after he received the ECU he informed me on his work and quickly found an error: a signal path feeding the relay gradually went bad, causing no relay error at initialisation, but later on caused communication loss with the modulators, consequently resulting in error 1 + 2. His diagnosis was very smart, and probably only possible with a full diagram of the ECU and an adequate testing and simulation environment.
The repaired ECU was sent back quickly, communication was excellent throughout the process, and the costs for repair very reasonable, especially compared to buying a new unit. Additionally, a complete test report was provided, giving the assurance that all other functions (error checks) are correctly working as well. Then finally, a half year warranty is given, so I can only say: wonderful service, skills, and communication, and thus more than warmly recommended!

Customer: Mr. Slash2nut from Michigan,USA who owns K1100LT
Following is the letter from him.
Tosi

I would like to thank you for your excellent repair of my BMW ABS1 brain. We corresponded via email several times before I sent the unit to you to understand your repair procedure (although it is defined on your website). http://bmwk10075abs1fix.web.fc2.com/

You answered all my questions to put me at ease allowing me some comfort in sending my unit half way around the world. Once you received it you kept me posted of the diagnostics and repairs that you completed along the way. I also received a checklist with the returned unit with all information detailed.

I am writing to express my high level of satisfaction. I could not be happier to have my ABS fixed at a very reasonable rate. The dealer wanted $2200US for a new unit. Your cost was 15,000 yen including return shipping. It was money well spent. I am so glad to have my ABS functioning correctly. And your work includes a 6 month warranty. What a deal!

Thank you,
Slash2nut
Customer:-Mr.K-BIKE from Auckland, New Zealand who owns K100RS 4V.
Following is the snippet from his post to the forum.

So knowing from other K riders that he was the expert I got into dialogue with him and sent him the ABS brain from my bike. Thanks to Japan Post it arrived very quickly and he turned it round very quickly and I now have it back in my bike. The price was a very reasonable 15,000 Yen which was less than I could get a second-hand non warranted unit for here in NZ.

I am extremely pleased as it works perfectly - as it was designed to, bless you Tosi. I would recommend Tosi and his company Milky way Technology Japan as the very pinnacle of ABS repair, his web address is http://bmwk10075abs1fix.web.fc2.com/

He is the Sensei - the master! He also rides a K 100! He is also a very pleasant person to deal with.

Please send me a mail to k100abs@gmail.com if you would like to have his recommendation on my work .
I have installed both of the ABS brains and can confirm that they are both working properly.  I thank you for your good work.  I have told many about my success with you and I think that one of my club members has already contacted you to fix more ABS brains.
At the MOA rally, I spoke about your service at the special seminar for classic K bikes.  I explained how easy you were to deal with and urged many to use your expertise.
I am willing to contact a possible new customer to talk with them about your service.  I would like to share my positive experience with anybody who is thinking about using your service.

Customer:- Mr.Diaz from Spain who owns K75.
  "Hello,
Today I've installed the brain and everything is OK. No lights flashing and when pulling hard the brakes' lever I can fill the peculiar abs effect.
It has been a worthy waiting and for me it's been a pleasure to work with you in such a smoothly way.
You are a trustworthy person. I'd thought about sending a photo but I've no one in which my k75 and I appear. So I'll shoot and send one to you. It'd be great if you could send me back one of you. It could ease to make my wife and some friends of mine believe that  the abs brain  has  gone  back and  forth  Spain-Japan. In fact I never thought It could exist anybody capable to repair an electronic part so special...and old.  "

Customer :- Mr. Ari H from Finland , who owns K1 and R series BMW's.
Q1. How was the impression of first contact to Milkeyway tech ?
A1. I found Milkeyway Tech website after I had ggoogledh words g BMW ABS ABO 2.5h. I read all the text carefully and decided to ask if I could purchase a repaired ABS brain instead of trying to repair my existing ones which I had in pair, both not working. My first impression was that the owner of this site really knows what he is doing; he even explains the functions inside the brain. I had had not very good backing from BWM dealers who just wanted me to put top money for a new ABS brain. I sent an e-mail to Milkeyway and Mr. T.T. answered me very soon and gave me some instructions I could first check on my own and then decide either to let him to fix my faulty ABS brain or buy a second hand and tested unit from him with a reasonable guarantee.

Q2. How do you evaluate Milkeyway tech's knowledge of bmw abs1 in general ?
A2. Very expertise and skillful service with a huge knowledge of BMW ABS 1 system.

Q3. How do you rate overall performance of Milkeyway tech, using number one as lowest ,number 5 the best ?
A3. Absolutely 5 in all, the best service I have had in ages.

Q4. Free comment please if you would like to say something .
A4. I would strongly recommend all who are having possible ABS 1 related problems in their BMW bikes first to contact Milkeyway Tech and see if Mr. T.T. can help. He can test a brain in simulator and also on his own bike to be absolutely sure that the brain is working as it should. Very helpful with huge knowledge and very, very reasonable priced with limited guarantee, too. This kind of enthusiasm helps us keeping the K-bikes on their wheels where they belong. I was personally very frustrated with ABS problems for years on otherwise splendid bike, but happily they are now fixed thanks to Mr. T.T. I bought a repaired ABS unit from him and let him to fix my faulty one, too.
